Oh God, Manny Pacquiao May Fight Marquez Again

Oh God, Manny Pacquiao May Fight Marquez Again
Manny Pacquiao may have had another dream last night.
In this one, the multiple-division champion and #1 fighter in the world (or #1A, as it were) has apparently been given the go-ahead from God to continue hitting people in the head after June 9, and extend his career to fight Juan Manuel Marquez for a fourth time.
You see, God has a good sense of public demand.
Pacquiao is fighting a tough undefeated guy, Timothy Bradley, on the aforementioned date in Las Vegas, and that fight could be a stiff challenge unto itself – enough that he should not be looking past it – but since Pacquiao may be all-seeing and all-knowing at this point, he may be able to take such liberties.

Manny Pacquiao is Now Completely Out of Hand

Manny Pacquiao is Now Completely Out of Hand
I don’t know enough about Manny Pacquiao’s tax situation or his earnings to tell you whether or not he is “cheating” the Philippine government out of their money; or rather, HIS money that they want to take.
But I can tell you that Pacquiao has gotten way, way out of hand.
He seems to have become self-important enough that he almost begs to be taken down.
Pacquiao’s latest antic, after agents for the Bureau of Internal Revenue filed a criminal complaint against him, was to call for “discipline” against them for what was termed “graft and corruption” charges according a published report from Manila.

Talkin’ Boxing, Pacquiao, Floyd, Bradley with Tennis Champ Andy Roddick

Talkin’ Boxing, Pacquiao, Floyd, Bradley with Tennis Champ Andy Roddick

Andy Roddick recently befriended Tim Bradley at the BNP Paribas Open tennis tournament in Indian Wells, CA.
Roddick, the 2003 U.S. Open champion and a boxing fan, shared his views on what he thinks will happen when Manny Pacquiao clashes with Bradley on June 9. “I talked to (Bradley) in Indian Wells and I told him he’s gonna be like the guy who shot Bambi if he wins that fight,” said Roddick. “He hasn’t lost yet. I think we have seen with boxing, you know, we use the term ‘a puncher’s chance’ in a lot of different sporting events, and I’m pretty sure that came from boxing.”

Schaefer: Mayweather-Pacquiao fight won’t happen in 2012

Pacquiao in 2012. Schaefer says the fight definitely won’t happen this year, and he feels it likely won’t happen until Pacquiao is down to his final fight before he retires.

Schaefer told the Telegraph.co.uk “It will happen but not his year. Probably when Pacquiao is ready to retire and has run out of other options.”
I agree. The Mayweather-Pacquiao probably won’t get made until Pacquiao is on the verge of retirement and/or he starts taking losses to Timothy Bradley and some of the other fighters in his promoter Bob Arum’s Top Rank boxing stable. At that point, there will likely be a huge rush to make the fight Mayweather fight to get the payday fight while there’s still a glimmer of hope to get it. Once Pacquiao starts getting beaten, you can expect his pay-per-view numbers to drop off. I don’t know how he’ll still be pushed as a PPV attraction once he starts losing but I expect Arum to keep having his fights as PPV even if he loses five or more times before he retires.

Bradley: I already got a plan to beat Pacquiao

Bradley: I already got a plan to beat Pacquiao

Bradley told Fighthype.com “I already got a plan…All I got to do is show up and execute my plan. If I show up and execute my plan, I’m going to win.”
I completely agree with Bradley. All he’s got to do is implement his plan and he’ll take the World Boxing Organization strap off of Pacquiao, unless the judges give Pacquiao yet another highly questionable decision like they gave him in his last two fights against Juan Manuel Marquez. I don’t see that happening this time around. If Bradley whips Pacquiao on June 9th, the right guy will have his hand raised at the end of the fight.

I can already see what Bradley is going to be doing against the aging Filipino fighter. If you look at Pacquiao’s last three fights, he’s been having leg problems and getting tired late in his fights. And that’s with Pacquiao being put in with less than dangerous guys like the over the hill Shane Mosley, and as slow as molasses Antonio Margarito and a punching bag Joshua Clottey.

Bradley will take the fight to Pacquiao on the inside and wear him down in the trenches to get him to the point where he’s got nothing left. Bradley won’t mess around with trying to run around the ring and pot shot, because that’ll never work with the judges. For them to get Bradley the win over a big money fighter like Pacquiao, Bradley will have to take the fight to him and batter him until he either quits or fights like he wants to quit.
